Before Your Appointment: Dos & Dont's

Preparing properly for your treatment helps us achieve the safest, smoothest and most effective results. Please take a moment to read through the guidelines below before attending your appointment.

Do's Before Your Treatment ✔️

  • Do arrive with clean skin
Please come to your appointment with a clean, product-free face. Avoid moisturiser, SPF, makeup, oils, or false tan on the treatment area.
  • Do stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours leading up to your visit. Hydration helps your skin respond better to treatment.
  • Do let us know about medical changes
    Inform us in advance if:
    – You’ve started any new medication
    – You’re pregnant or breastfeeding
    – You have an active infection, cold sore, rash or broken skin in the treatment area.

Your safety is our priority, and we may need to reschedule if your treatment isn’t suitable at this time.

  • Do eat something beforehand
A light meal before your appointment helps keep you comfortable, especially during injectable or laser treatments.
  • Do plan aheadIf you’re booking for a special event, ensure your treatment is scheduled with enough time for healing or potential minor downtime.

Dont's Before Your Treatment ❌

  • Don’t drink alcohol 24 hours prior
Alcohol thins the blood and increases the risk of bruising. Please avoid it the day before and the day of treatment.
  • Don’t take anti-inflammatory medication
Avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen and similar medications for 24–48 hours beforehand (unless prescribed by your GP). These can increase bleeding and bruising.
  • Don’t have beauty treatments on the same day
Please avoid facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, or laser hair removal on or close to the treatment area for at least 48 hours prior.
  • Don’t apply fake tan
No self-tan, spray tan or tanning products on or near the treatment area. These can interfere with results and increase the risk of irritation.
  • Don’t attend if you’re feeling unwell
If you’re experiencing illness, fever, cold sores, or any skin flare-ups, please contact us to rearrange your appointment.
  • Don’t come alone if you’re nervous
If you’re anxious about treatment, feel free to bring someone with you for support. (Please note: children under 18 cannot be brought into treatment rooms.)
