Who is the treatment for?
Profhilo® is considered as a skin bio-remodelling treatment which essentially boosts the skin resulting in the well-known “Profhilo® glow” look. Profhilo® contains both a high molecular weight component which provides support and structure to the skin and also the low molecular weight component helps to hydrate the skin and stimulate the formation of 4 different types of new collagen and elastin from within the skin. This action helps to tighten loose skin and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Profhilo® treatment is therefore ideal for treating loose skin, fines lines and wrinkles along the face and neck area. If you’re considering a skin treatment to help boost your skin’s appearance without adding volume but are wanting a skin glowing affect than Profhilo® is the right treatment for you.

What does the treatment involve?
Treatment with Profhilo® involves injections placed at specific points designed to maximise its effectiveness whilst ensuring safety. Profhilo® contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available in any aesthetic treatment.
Is it painful?
Due to Dr Ricky’s light-handed technique and the use of a small needle discomfort should be minimal albeit a minor stinging sensation. Local Anaesthetic cream can be applied 15-20 minutes beforehand to minimise discomfort if requested although this is not normally needed. There may be a slight discomfort along the injection points on the day of the treatment and for a day or so after the treatment.
When can I go back to work/normal activities?
There is normally no downtime and you can return to work and carry out normal activities straight away. Dr Ricky will explain the relevant aftercare post the procedure to ensure a sustained excellent outcome. Sometimes post Profhilo® treatment there can be some mild swelling/bruising that can occur which will settle down in a few days.
How long will it take to see results?
When starting Profhilo® treatment it is recommended that two treatments are needed scheduled 4 weeks apart then follow up treatments once every 3 months. Profhilo® skin boosting ability can take up to 4-6 weeks to start taking effect.
How long do results last for?
When starting Profhilo® treatment it is recommended that two treatments are needed scheduled 4 weeks apart then follow up treatments once every 3 months to maintain the skin boosting effect and the “Profhilo® glow look.” If it has been over 6 months since the last Profhilo® treatment it is recommended that two treatments are needed again scheduled 4 weeks apart for the Profhilo® treatment to take full effect.
